Boiling Point

How was your June? Has it been jolting, with Uranus square the Nodes through the second half of June? With Mercury, ruler of Uranus in Gemini and the South Node in Virgo, being retrograde from 6/29–7/23, we can feel the pressure building for us to release the emotional contentions that had been suppressed before. We feel the pressure cooker gaining pressure, and something just has to give.

Emotional Volatility Ahead

And the influence continues through the first half of July, with Mars conjunct Uranus on 7/3, still squaring the Nodes until mid-July. The pressure cooker can explode during this time, as early as 6/29 when Mars enters Gemini, and more unavoidably around 7/3–7/4 when they conjunct. I am not a political astrologer, so I will not venture into how this affects the Solar Return chart for the USA on 7/4. What I am seeing on the personal and community level is some sort of personal or collective uprising that disrupts the status quo and demands recognition of emotional reality.

Think of Uranus and Mars conjunct in Gemini while squaring the Nodes this way: a hydrogen balloon catching fire, like the Hindenburg airship disaster in 1937. For the solution and active prevention, think of the opposite point of 0–3° Gemini, which is 0–3° Sagittarius, as the stabilizer and release point. During this time, fall back on spiritual traditions, practices, and higher learning to help with our safe passage through the dark nights of the soul. This is not only for self-protection, but also to make sure that we don't become the fire source in someone else's story.

So activate the higher perspective and observer awareness of Sagittarius, and its ruler Jupiter will support us by first allowing us to become aware of the emotional dynamics, then enabling us to shine light and transmute through witnessing. Most people, at the end of the day, simply want to be seen, heard, and feel supported—ourselves included.

Witness from Observer Consciousness

And be aware of veering toward the shadow side of Sagittarius, which is espousing and evangelizing our own spiritual truth and connection. During this time, simply observe our own and others' suffering, and in that observer space, transmutation happens automatically. We don't have to do anything. Seeing, hearing, witnessing, and evoking a sense of common humanity are what safely release the hydrogen and pressure from the balloon so that when Mars transits, there will be minimal content to ignite.

Supportive Container

I do want to mention the good news of this month, which is the support of the celestial trio: Pluto, Neptune, and Uranus in a minor trine throughout the month. Pluto will trine Uranus exactly on 7/17, while Jupiter will trine Neptune and oppose Pluto on 7/20. This forms the bucket configuration in the chart and is a beautiful container for any difficulties that linger. Simply put, what the universe has been dredging up to be cleared now has a safe space and place to begin settling. There will still be remnants of emotional sparks, but the support of a container is consistently there through the end of the month as Jupiter transits between 2–6° Leo while the Sun is also in Leo.

And what is that container? It is Mercury in Cancer, as Uranus, Pluto, and Neptune all look to Mercury during this time for direction. And so the container is wherever you can express your feelings and vulnerabilities safely.

The container is available throughout the month, almost as soon as Jupiter enters Leo on 6/30. Look at where 16–26° Cancer falls in your chart, and that's the area where emotional content needs a safe space to be released. Then use your adult agency and discernment to determine where that safe release might be.

And because Mercury in Cancer looks to the Moon, and the Moon changes signs every two to three days, the "content" that you experience can also change quickly. So, if inclined, keep a journal handy to track what arises and changes. Use your discernment regarding what can simply stay in the journal and what can be shared in a more public (but protected) forum.

Meet the Collective Needs

As I mentioned in the 2026 Yearly Forecast, the Jupiter-Pluto opposition on 7/20 also brings us the opportunity to integrate our individual talents with collective demands. This alignment will feel like magic and providence, offering the first signs of fruition to those who have been diligently working behind the scenes.

Interestingly, this is also the time to forgo the supposed virtues of modesty and boldly embrace the publicity that is justified by solid work and mastery of detail. The key point here is this: the opportunity will be given naturally. These opportunities will not prove fruitful if you seek, chase, or advocate for them. If you have been on the right track, the opportunity simply "lands," asking you to stretch beyond your comfort zone and step into the spotlight.

So how do you ensure that this opportunity "lands" and converges around you? Once again, adjust your vision boards to pass the litmus test of mutuality—not only for mutual profit, but for humanity's calibration to higher frequencies of compassion and lived experience, whether that is love, health, prosperity, or whichever facet of human life you feel called to revamp.

And this can happen in any profession, position, arena of focus, and at any stage of life. Your own connection to what is right for you is the key.

This July also marks the last stretch of the North Node in Pisces before it enters Aquarius on 8/18. After that, the celestial download is complete, the vision board is set, and Uranus begins to guide the navigation into the brand-new world. We'll analyze that further when August arrives.

Final Thoughts

For now, we are asked to process quite a bit of suppressed emotion and expression during this month. Write, speak, dance, pray, and undergo catharsis in any safe space that you deem connects you to a higher perspective and resonates with you, and you'll find the Venus square Mars on 7/29 that much easier to deal with, as they both would have to answer to Mercury anyway.

And you might find that at the end of the month, instead of needing to extinguish the Hindenburg fire, all you need to do is blow out a little birthday candle. And may it be so.
