Reflecting on September

Happy Fall in the Northern Hemisphere! Did everyone have a relatively low-key September compared to the summer? Hopefully, you were able to get some respite and allow the universe to take care of the rest.

Early October: Power Dynamics and Integration

In October, we have Mars opposing Pluto right out of the gate on October 3rd. This opposition is further squared by Mercury and Venus in Scorpio, both of which turn retrograde this month. This indicates that we will be asked to revisit certain power dynamics or negotiations—both externally and internally—that were up for a revamp in the last two months but have not yet concluded.

As Mars aspects Libra (2nd house) then Venus (3rd house), and Pluto aspects Uranus (10th house) then Mercury (3rd house), we are asked to integrate tradition with social changes and upgrades. Be conscious of the power of both in contributing to our personal survival and well-being, and tread with care when renegotiating a new balance.

It can be difficult to trust the unseen and move forward from tried-and-true routines that feel familiar, even if they have become stagnant and toxic. Just know that as you move forward compassionately in this new integration, the universe has your back. We are not doing anything that history hasn't seen before; it always takes friction and tension to break free from the gravitational pull of the past. When in doubt, seek the support of a wider community and extended family. The Moon in Cancer (11th house) trine Venus in Scorpio (3rd house) in this event chart speaks to the compassion and emotional nourishment available to us from elders, whether related to us or not.

Mid-October: Flow and Productive Harmony

In the middle of the month, we have Mars trine Saturn on October 16th. This is one of my favorite aspects because it brings seemingly irreconcilable energies into harmony. Saturn restricts and wants quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC), while Mars wants full-speed action and unobstructed production. When in harmony, QA/QC actually supports forward-moving efficiency, and momentum in turn contributes to stabilizing quality production. This is a flow state that is not to be missed.

Late October: Triggers, Awareness, and Healing

By the end of the month, we have Venus retrograde opposing Chiron on October 28th. Furthermore, Chiron in the 9th house aspects Mars in a cluster with Jupiter and the South Node in Leo (1st house).

Two scenarios could happen with this configuration:

• Scenario One: You become so trigger-happy that you completely miss reality because your neurons are firing too fast to notice a warp in perception.

• Scenario Two: Your projections are so exaggerated and disproportionate that you easily catch yourself regressing into unprocessed emotions.

• Or, actually, both could occur.

This is once again a time to turn up your observer awareness, drop any judgment of what arises, and accept what is coming up to be seen. Once seen, these wounds can be healed beautifully with Chariklo conjunct the North Node in the 7th house.

A Productive Month Ahead

Overall, October brings nothing that we haven't collectively handled over the past couple of years. Continue doing your due diligence in making the changes you want to see, and let the chips fall where they may. We are all navigating this in one area of our lives or another, so you are not alone.
