The Energy of June: Pushing Through

In June, we have two major energetic waves shaping the month: the 6/9 Venus conjunct Jupiter influencing the first half of June, and the 6/20 Uranus square the Nodes influencing the second half. Neither are particularly easy, but both are deeply catalytic.

As mentioned in last month's forecast, all throughout May we've been moving through the fires of purification — releasing deep-seated habits in order to arrive at new routines and new realities. The byproduct of this alchemy is compassion, as we're able to recognize that all of us are in the same boat, struggling through our own progression, albeit in different areas of life depending on our natal charts. The Venus-Jupiter conjunction shows the culmination of understanding compassion somatically, not just as a mental ideal.

In the conjunction chart, we see Venus and Jupiter in 11th house Cancer looking to Moon in Aries 7th conjunct Neptune. This denotes mutuality with our partners — business or personal — and the desire to step into action for the greater good as Moon-Neptune looks to Mars in Taurus 9th. There is high regard on both sides to want to make the relationship work in accordance with agreed-upon goals and ideals. This is an action-oriented energy, as we're inspired to be in service to one another in order to reach higher ground.

Friction Within Growth

The flip side is that Virgo rising looks to Mercury in Cancer 10th, which squares Saturn in Aries 10th. Jupiter in the 11th also squares Eris in Aries 8th. This points to marked pushback simply for standing in who you are and acting in accordance with what you feel is best for the collective and for the partnership.

Not only can jealousy and mudslinging come from those you consider close, but even long-term partners may find your actions grating despite understanding your good intentions. Basically, people can feel a contradiction between wanting the progression your actions could bring (Mars in Taurus 9th) and simultaneously feeling challenged by the upgrade because it requires change.

The good news is that this is a short-term sting and, in many ways, inevitable as all of us continue to rise and evolve. Meeting friction as we "push through" is only natural. And because others are mirrors of us, it's important to notice where we ourselves may be hindering another person's progress, and redirect that energy back into fueling our own mature action toward our goals.

The Second Half of June: Big Talk, Bigger Reflection

For the second half of the month, we have Uranus in Gemini 3rd squaring the Nodes across the Pisces-Virgo 12th/6th axis.

North Node in Pisces, ruled by Jupiter, conjuncts Uranus in Gemini, ruled by Mercury in Cancer 5th, and they look to Moon in Virgo 6th conjunct the South Node. This creates an interesting dynamic where the talk may become much louder than the magnitude of the walk. We might talk up a storm during this period and overpromise on our capacity to deliver.

As Venus in Leo 5th opposes Pluto in Aquarius 11th, we're able to paint a very beautiful picture — but it may remain skin-deep and unable to withstand the rigors of time, effort, and execution. In short, this is actually a great time for marketing, and chances are you may successfully get the job, the client, or the opportunity. Just be mindful of whether it's truly mutually beneficial, whether it's actually what you want, and whether burning this amount of resources on promotion justifies the cost (Mars in Taurus 2nd).

Making Space for Spiritual Insight

North Node in Pisces 12th suggests that instead of trying to fill every moment with tasks and overwork, we'd benefit far more from dedicating time and space to daydream a little and reflect on long-term goals before the Nodes change signs in August.

Resist the urge to focus exclusively on mundane tasks, because that will absolutely be the tendency. Meditation and gentle movement practices that bring us back into the body and the present moment are highly beneficial during this time, especially to offset the urge to overdo.

Allow the action-oriented energy of "pushing through" to eventually transform into spiritual ascension, or a deeper mental reflection that allows for more insight. It won't happen naturally, so we'll need to consciously create the space for it.

Mercury Retrograde in Cancer

Then from 6/29–7/23, we have Mercury retrograde in Cancer. This is an excellent time to tie up loose ends wherever Cancer falls in your chart. We'll analyze this transit more deeply in the July forecast.
