Overview
Throughout December, the overwhelming energetic center is the Jupiter–Chiron square on 12/21 with its influence permeating the entire month. Early December brings Mars squaring Saturn and Neptune in Pisces—both pointing back toward the Jupiter–Chiron triggers. In the second half of the month, Venus squaring Saturn and Neptune repeats this same pattern that again emphasizes the same core dissonance. By month’s end, Mars sextiles the North Node, once more directing attention to Jupiter square Chiron.
There is no “out” of this confrontation. The only way is through. So this month’s forecast focuses on understanding this square and its deeper implications to help us better navigate this energy.

Jupiter Square Chiron Chart
We enter the Jupiter-Chiron square chart through Libra, with its ruler Venus in the 3rd house in Sagittarius, part of a cluster in pointing to Jupiter in Cancer in the 9th, who squares Chiron in Aries in the 6th. This configuration highlights a forceful communication of high ideals and righteous ideologies that can erupt into heated confrontations, extremes, and even fanaticism.
I rarely address mundane astrology unless I feel compelled, and this is one of those charts that sounds the horns of war. Mercury in the 2nd house of values and resources squares the Nodes across the 5th–11th axis. The South Node looks first to Mercury, then to Jupiter; the North Node also looks to Jupiter, who squares Chiron. The result is a karmically charged ideological showdown—something reminiscent of crusade-like conflicts in which values collide with real-world consequences.
The chart also highlights a collective dilemma: individual freedom vs. collective belonging*.
Do “the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few—or the one?” (Spock, Star Trek).
Or, how much cognitive dissonance are we willing to tolerate to avoid seeing what we do not want to see?
Astrology doesn’t offer an answer, but it does show a universe expanding itself through inquiry. Circumstances may intensify to the point that we cannot avoid confronting this philosophical dilemma—something we’ve collectively avoided before.
On the Personal Level
Individually, this chart speaks to family-table confrontations: the moments when long-ignored patterns can no longer be glossed over. This is tradition vs. innovation, the old system vs. the emerging self. It may also play out internally, through a confrontation between outdated loyalty structures and evolving values within our own internal family system.
And in this chart, there is no clean workaround; the friction is part of the process. It clears the ground for the next stage of personal developments ahead of Saturn and Neptune’s ingress into Aries in February 2026.
Healing will have to come through the recognition of the hurt, as symbolized by Jupiter exalted in Cancer in the 9th house. This energy invites us into full emotional honesty and self-compassion, which help us move skillfully through discomfort.
While you may feel ready to voice your updated beliefs, the astrology encourages tempering your delivery with awareness and care. Uranus in Taurus in the 8th quincunx Venus in the 3rd cautions that our perception may lack full context or inclusion during this time. This is where agency matters: not in forcing agreement or disagreement, but in intentionally cultivating a pause (through either time or space) so that wisdom can land before we act.
This pause will not come naturally. The Capricorn New Moon conjunct Mars on 12/20 brings force, persistence, and a one-track mind to assert personal will. And as Venus squares Saturn and Neptune on 12/21 and 12/23, what we perceive as "for the greatest good of all" may not land positively for others or align with our own future growth.
So, the chart’s saving grace will not come from external circumstances. It will need to come from our own conscious intention to practice compassion: toward ourselves first in recognizing our shifting values and needs, then toward others in listening and holding space for dissent without judgment. Being able to hold a duality within ourselves in peace is the key.
A New Frontier
This month asks us to move beyond imitation and repetitive karmic cycles into a higher octave of experience. That shift becomes possible only through awareness and the deliberate practice of what is not already habitual.
If you can, keep December slow and reflective. Let compassion guide the tone of your holiday season.
The Bigger Picture
Since 2019, immense shifts have unfolded, and the collective exhaustion is real. This winter brings those pressures to a peak both outwardly and inwardly. As the exalted water trine recedes in mid-December and the squares intensify, make gentleness a priority. Mindfully create the space for rest, stillness, and recovery.
Holiday Travels
If you’re traveling, patience is essential. Navigate your environment with care and neutrality. Release urgency wherever possible. If you can leave home steady and arrive safely, consider it a success. Stay aware, flexible, and willing to pivot as circumstances change.
Closing Thoughts
This forecast is more cautionary than uplifting, but the intent is to highlight compassion and self-compassion as a practice for navigating the season’s intensity. May you and your loved ones stay safe, healthy, and at peace.
As a reminder, I prepare the annual forecast not from the 1/1 chart but from the Aquarius New Moon chart, which in 2026 falls on 2/17. The yearly collective forecast will be released with February’s forecast.
Wishing you a safe and rewarding Holiday Season.
Love & Blessings💗
