Letting Go, The Pathway of Surrender

This winter I met the book that took me out of grief and into a new horizon: Letting Go, The Pathway of Surrender by David R. Hawkins.

This book has given me the mechanics of letting go, and the details that separate healing and ascending from being stuck in karmic-conditioning loops.

“To transcend something you have to be able to accept it. To accept it you have to get off right and wrong about it. It just is that way… it’s all right for them to be there because consciousness evolves and it expresses itself in form throughout its evolution…and we get off a positionally about our own positionalities. It’s natural, that positionalities. Right and wrong, good and evil, love and hate, they’re not opposites, they’re positionalities. They’re all positionalities along the same line.”

-Dr. Hawkins “Karma and the Afterlife” Lecture October 2002

I had a great epiphany through multiple experiences over the course of this year that I had not accepted the entirety of the continuum. I had grasped and grasped for what I judged as the higher state, and pushed away the emotions that I deemed undesirable. And the more I pushed, the tighter the fence that seem to bar me from what I want pressed against me. It is when I accept everything and relax into surrender that I see the light from a different path. There is so much more to this book that I don’t know how to put into words. For now, I am elated to be within the fields of Dr. Hawkins’ teachings, and I hope to post more as I begin to go through his collection of works.
